Community Commitment

STI Cares Foundation

The STI Cares Foundation (STI Cares) is the new philanthropic arm of Student Transportation Inc. (STI), North America’s most trusted and largest independent provider of student transportation services. STI plays a unique and positive role in the lives of the more than one million students it safely transports, and is committed to making a difference for children and their families while improving the quality of life in the communities it serves.

STI Cares was created to be able to contribute to the many local causes that STI’s employees are passionate about, including the American Cancer Society, the Red Cross, veteran’s support, social services, food banks and more, in addition to being able to assist its own employees in times of hardship or despair. Mission

The mission of STI Cares is to promote community outreach and support, and provide assistance with educational needs and opportunities. The Foundation also supports STI’s employees by contributing to the numerous charities, causes and local organizations that members of the STI Family are passionate about.

Sponsorship Events

In 2012, Student Transportation Inc. established a fundraising partnership with Denny & Mark’s Pro-Am Jam, a celebrity music and golf event led by the partnership of STI’s CEO Denis Gallagher, NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin, and Hootie & the Blowfish songwriter and musician, Mark Bryan. Given the integral role and involvement of Mr. Gallagher in this event and the partnership, which has raised more than $700,000 in its first four years, the event has now become the Denis, Denny & Mark’s Pro-Am Jam.

The two-day event is composed of an auction and celebrity jam concert on the first day, followed by a day of golf the following morning with the Celebrity Pro-Am. All proceeds from the event go towards the charitable organizations of the founders, which share a common mission in creating better opportunities for children.
